What is the Houston Apartment Association and what does it do?
HAA is a trade association representing professionals in the apartment industry. The membership includes apartment property owners, management companies, developers and suppliers to the industry. Our focus is legislation, education and communication for the industry.

Do you have to be a member of HAA if you have rental property? Is every apartment property a member?
No. Membership in HAA is voluntary. An apartment property is a member through its affiliation with an individual owner or management company.

How much is membership?
The product/service membership or for suppliers and vendors is $482 (a $407 dues payment and a $75 processing fee). For an owner of rental property or a management company, the fees are calculated based on the total number of units for all of the properties the company manages in the 12-county area HAA represents. This information is printed on the membership application.

How many companies are members of HAA?
HAA currently has about 1800 member companies. More than 900 are owner/management companies, representing more than 3,000 apartment properties and more than 624,000 units.
